A compound noun is a noun that is made up of two or more words.
Stress generally falls on the first word in compound nouns.

compund noun ➡️ adjective + noun
1⃣ He's a WISE guy BUT He is a WISE LEADER.
2⃣ She's a PEOPLE person BUT She's a NICE PERSON.
3⃣ It's an APARTMENT building BUT It's a TALL BUILDING.
4⃣ They're EXERCISE machines BUT They're NEW MACHINES .
