The main focus of this part of the conversation is how perfectionist tendencies can cause problems in foreign language learning, particularly for adult learners. If the word ends in (a), 'r' is often intruded to link it to the next following vowel sound
• pastaʳ and pizza (= pastarand...)

■ gemination
When two same consonants meet, (in one word or separate) we pronounce them as one word at once, not separately.
