🍁SLANG🍁

🔅dirtbag🔅

Noun/verb

📚Originally a bag or sack with dirt in it. More recently an unkempt or slovenly person. A person who is committed to a given (usually extreme)
lifestyle to the point of abandoning employment and other societal norms in order to pursue said lifestyle. Dirtbags can be distinguished from
hippies by the fact that dirtbags have a specific reason for their living communaly and generally non-hygenically; dirtbags are seeking to spend all of their moments pursuing their lifestyle.

🌾Victor erupted, calling Emma a dirtbag, a racist, and branding her 'stupid'.

🌾Climber A: "Sorry to hear you got laid off. You bummed?"

Climber B: "Nah, I'm just gonna dirtbag it in The Valley {Yosemite} all summer and regroup next fall."

THE ANSWER👇👇👇
THE ANSWER
1. The sentences are called relative clauses in grammar.
The first sentence is non-defining relative clauses, and the second one is defining relative clauses.

2. In the first sentence, the speaker has only one sister and wants to add more information about her.. (who is flight attendant).
In the second sentence, the speaker has more than one sister, but he refers to the flight attendant one..

Note:
In the first sentence (non-defining), we always use commas (,) at the beginning and in the end of the relative classe to separate it from the rest of the sentence.
And we can remove this relative classes without changing the meaning of the sentence.
E.g My sister is afraid of flying,
everyone who listens to him will understand, because he has only one sister..
While in the second sentence (defining),
we don't separate it with commas and the meaning won't be complete if the relative clauses is removed.
E.g. My sister is afraid of flying,
everyone who listens to him may not understand which one of the sisters he means exactly.
Because he has more than one sister and therefore, he needs to define the one he's taking about so that people understand.

Whatever you're going through, believe me when I tell you that it is temporary. And it is proving to you how much strength you have inside of you. Don't ever give up. Stay true to yourself. Stay true to your manners and values. Kill 'em with kindness. Kill 'em with your bravery to be who you are unapologetically.

📔 The Odyssey 📔
✏️ By Homer

🎇 Denoscription: The Odyssey is one of the two major ancient Greek epic poems (the other being the Iliad), attributed to the poet Homer. The poem is commonly dated to between 800 and 600 BC. The poem is, in part, a sequel to the Iliad, and concerns the events that befall the Greek hero Odysseus in his long journey back to his native land Ithaca after the fall of Troy.

It takes Odysseus ten years to return to his native land of Ithaca after ten years of war; during his 20-year absence, his son Telemachus and his wife Penelope must deal with a group of unruly suitors who have moved into Odysseus' home to compete for Penelope's hand in marriage, since most have assumed that Odysseus has died.
