🔆Today's Idioms🔆

♨️ Black sheep of the family ♨️

Meaning : The most different or odd one out in a group or a family.
Example : As David does not study hard like his other brothers he is considered the black sheep of his family.

Origin : The colour black is associated with evil and a sheep that is all black is
rare, especially in a herd of all-white sheep. So a black sheep in a white herd is definitely the odd one out.

‍ ‍ ♨️Have a short fuse♨️

Meaning : to get angry very easily
Example : watch your tongue- he's got a very short fuse

♨️A lost ball in the weeds♨️

Meaning: a person who is completely lost or confused and does not know what they are doing, how to do it or possibly even where they are.
Example: I got confused as to what I should do. I was a lost ball in the weeds.
