🇯🇵 Japan unveils ARCHAX, a 4.5-meter humanoid built for extreme environments

Tsubame Industries has introduced ARCHAX, one of the world’s first truly heavy-duty humanoid robots designed to step into places where humans can’t safely go. The pilot sits inside a protected cockpit with a full 360° panoramic view generated from nine external cameras and controls the robot’s arms through a precise haptic-feedback system.

Standing at 4.5 meters with 26 degrees of freedom, ARCHAX is engineered to lift massive loads, tear down unstable structures, search for survivors under debris, operate inside nuclear facilities, support dismantling operations, and even assist with lunar base testing. Japan’s bet is clear: the future of hazardous-zone labor may be piloted, robotic, and towering.

🇯🇵 JAPAN Reveals Warship Test With Game-Changing Laser Weapon as it faces CHINA'S growing military

A Japanese defense agency confirmed that a high-energy laser system capable of shooting down drones is being installed on a ship for future at-sea trials!!

JAPAN's development of a shipborne laser and other game-changing weapons comes as it faces China's growing military strength, demonstrated in a September parade, while ties between the two nations have recently escalated sharply following Tokyo's remarks about a possible military intervention in the event of a Chinese blockade of Taiwan

MIT researchers developed a new robotic gripping method that lets robots lift heavy yet fragile objects without crushing or slipping.

Traditional grippers must choose between being soft enough to avoid damage or stiff enough to hold weight, which usually causes failure at one stage. MIT’s solution, called loop closure grasping, avoids this tradeoff by starting as a flexible open loop that can snake around clutter, then locking into a closed loop around the object.

Once closed, the load is carried mainly by tension rather than pressure, like a sling, allowing the gripper to stay very soft while still holding strongly. A prototype using inflatable “vine” beams, a clamp, and a winch successfully performed difficult tasks such as lifting a 6.8 kg kettlebell and retrieving objects from three meters away.
