SpaceX's Starship, SN8, has finally attempted its 12.5km test flight
[Highlights video]
The rocket successfully launched, ascended, 'belly-flopped', descended and maneuvered for landing before rapidly disassembling (exploding) on the landing pad. Even though it did not stick the landing, the test itself was deemed a huge success and we look forward to upcoming flights of future Starships.
Elon Musk on Twitter:
"Successful ascent, switchover to header tanks & precise flap control to landing point!"
"Fuel header tank pressure was low during landing burn, causing touchdown velocity to be high & RUD, but we got all the data we needed! Congrats SpaceX team hell yeah!!"
Full flight can be found in the comments

Scientists Say They've Identified The Best Place For Life to Have Existed on Mars
The surface of Mars, by every measurement we've taken, is currently an inhospitable wasteland. Only dust devils roam its arid surface; the only water is permanent ice. Yet evidence that water once flowed and pooled on the planet's surface keeps mou

How Our Brains Track Other People's Location Is Weirdly Consistent Between Brains
When navigating a space, it turns out human brains form eerily similar spatial-awareness brain waves. Scientists have discovered this after devising a method to scan our brains during free movements, as opposed to lying still in a scanner.
