A Moon rock now sits in the White House!
At the request of the Biden Administration, NASA loaned the Moon rock for display in the Oval Office. It comes from the Lunar Sample Laboratory Facility at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
In 1972, NASA astronauts Ronald Evans, Harrison Schmitt, and Eugene Cernan were part of the mission that brought this sample back to Earth.
The Moon rock serves as a reminder that NASA is going back to the lunar surface to stay through the Artemis program.
