January 2023 security patches have been merged into Evolution X!

Updates for officially supported devices will start to roll out this week.

Hey Evo fam! ☺️ Good day!

Here's a quick recap of newly added features to our humble ROM before we reach February:

- Font styles will now overlay in headlines as well
- A separate font may now be selected for the lock screen clock [Evolver > Themes]
- Users may now also choose a custom color for the lock screen clock [Evolver > Themes]
- Users may now choose to enable/disable different lock screen shortcuts [Evolver > Lock screen]
- Automated Sleep Mode is now readily available [Settings > Battery]
- QS tile layout settings (columns/rows/tile text) also make their awaited return along with QS data usage footer [Evolver > Quick settings]
- Allow users to turn off Google services [Evolver > Misc]
- Bring back status bar notification counters along with Wi-Fi Standard icon [Evolver > Status bar]
- Introduce an improved Monet settings [Evolver > Themes]

Updates for officially supported devices will start to roll out this week.

Google is messing with Safetynet on the server side of things. It's failing for others while passing for the rest. It's COMPLETELY RANDOM. A change in DNS might make it show that it's passing but it won't make a difference. It will be RANDOM. It may pass now then later it may not.

Kindly wait for an official update from your maintainers. SN should pass as before.

This is done to distinguish the update from previous ones that will certainly fail safetynet from now on.

Our Pixel users are happy to report that we were able fix the built-in unlimited storage toggle for Google Photos 😊 It'll be included in upcoming updates for supported Pixel devices!

Just a reiteration of a previous announcement since we've had MULTIPLE users reporting their safetynet breaking and causing apps to operate incorrectly, KINDLY wait for an update from your maintainer.

If your Evolution X version is NOT 7.6.1 (or 7.6.2 which is the latest), you may install this version of the safetynet fix module by Displax from GitHub. It may solve your safetynet issues temporarily until you receive an updated version of the ROM.
