Hey just to let everyone know the following (I get Supreme Court cases updated every week to my email, used to work in law)
We should all know that the Supreme Court in the USA just ruled against Cuomo!! Yes I know this sounds spammy but it’s true, here’s the official case trannoscript: and it’s the text within the judgement that’s crucial. This is a hugely important case in my opinion because of the language used for passing the judgement

“Members of this Court are not public health experts, and we should respect the judgment of those with special expertise and responsibility in this area. But even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten. The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty. Before allowing this to occur, we have a duty to conduct a serious examination of the need for such a drastic measure.”
They also state in the judgement for their reasons to rule against Cuomo:
“Irreparable harm. There can be no question that the challenged restrictions, if enforced, will cause irreparable harm. “The loss of First Amendment freedoms, for even minimal periods of time, unquestionably constitutes irreparable injury.” Elrod v. Burns, 427 U.S. 347, 373 (1976) (plurality opinion)”
This last sentence is huge. I honestly think that’s a huge statement they’ve just made. I think this is a landmark case because this judgement opens the gates, through its language, to further appeals and cases......
