The Truth About Natural Flavors

Many natural flavors include chemical additives like solvents, preservatives, and emulsifiers, which aren't disclosed on ingredient labels so consumers don't know what they're actually consuming.

While there are natural flavors that are sourced from plants or animals, most of them undergo extensive chemical processing, which removes them far from their original form.

Chemically, natural flavors can be nearly identical to artificial flavors, and in some cases, the difference is only the source of the raw material, not the final composition, which can be misleading.

For these reasons, it's best to avoid any products that contain "natural flavors" in their ingredients list.
