Florida Republicans believe neither in freedom, nor small government, nor the sanctity of the family. Senate Bill 254 legalizes the kidnapping of trans children from their families.

"Not only will this subject numerous transgender kids to the hell of conversion therapy, but it will allow the state to threaten to terminate political opponents' custody rights over their cisgender kids unless they immediately bend the knee and fall silent, as SB254 classifies the *allegation* that kids may be given gender-affirming care as an "emergency" in and of itself and does not force plaintiffs to provide any evidence whatsoever that said kids are actually transgender before seizing them."

Their goal is not just to terrorize young trans people, but to take advantage of transphobia as a means to achieve totalitarian control. In the long run, this threatens everyone, not just young trans people and their families.

We have added two appendices to our memorial for Dmitry Petrov, the anarchist partisan killed fighting in Ukraine: a translation of a statement about him from the Anarcho-Communist Combat Organization (largely focusing on his youth), and a translation of a delightful punk song written about the sort of clandestine actions he used to carry out as a young person in Russia—"Black Blog Fighter" by Electric Partisans.

Today in Atlanta, City Council has to vote once again to endorse the millions of dollars that will be channeled to the police and their cronies through the Cop City project.

Hundreds of people lined up at City Hall to speak against the police training facility. The authorities cut off the signup process after the first 300 applicants, attempting to silence opposition as they have throughout this process. People are chanting "Stop Cop City!", "Let us speak!", and "Viva viva Tortuguita!" in memory of the forest defender police murdered in January.
