On April 16, 2000, tens of thousands of people gathered in Washington, DC to mobilize against the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank. It was a watershed moment in the global anti-capitalist movement.
While the demonstrations that shut down the summit of the World Trade Organization in 1999 have become famous, this oral history including testimony and archival materials from dozens of participants in the demonstrations of A16 is among the first efforts to chronicle the subsequent mobilization in DC.

Si l’entreprise gagne de l’argent à la fin de la journée, cela signifie qu’elle ne te paie pas la pleine valeur de ton travail — c’est de là que viennent les bénéfices d’entreprises ! Donc, si tu as besoin de quelque chose sur ton lieu de travail, prends-le. Tu l’as mérité !
