Created exam tasks for MongoDB, Neo4J and Redis classes with ChatGPT in 15 minutes without any skills 🍿

A week ago I was successfully tested a lot of homeworks using generated noscripts — had to fix only a few lines per noscript

Rise of machines incredible tool!

Remember failed ThinkPad X1 Fold, a try to revive dual-screens with Plus Gen 3 and overpriced Zenbook 17 Fold? Meet Yoga Book 19i — next generation dual-screen laptop from CES-2023 starting at 2100$. So far looks like a balance between Fold and DUO Zenbooks — theoretically can run Linux (as DUO) but has 2x13.3" total display area remaining pretty flexible (as Fold) with a key difference in price.

Waiting for June to look at final prices and will-it-linux reviews, otherwise it looks like my next laptop 🤪

P.S. Full specs and other CES23 stuff from Lenovo
P.P.S. Pics stolen from Luke Larsen

Absolutely no one:
Me at 1:29 AM: country ranking. country. ranking.

P.S. Booted 💻Fedora after a long time with Ubuntu and even outdated 37th feels as a paradise now. You just CAN do things here - can't say so about any other Linux distro

That moment when you stop crying about how overloaded and fat the web is and just enjoy the ability to scrape such UI in one line of code

HP monitor's ingenious design requires 45° rotation for VESA mount. Just got a compatible stand - but now will have to look for a swivel adapter or change the monitor/stand. Standards, they say 🤡

UPD: Fixed by HP Omen Mount Adapter made by someone on 3D printer

🪙 Assassin's Creed (2007, HD remake)
5/10 — great mechanics (especially for 2007), too repetitive, depressive locations.

Story: 5/10
Filling: 3/10
Battle: 6/10
Parkour: 8/10
Stealth: 6/10
Open world: 5/10

🪦 RedHat making 💻 Fedora fully commercial OS, stopping all open-source releases.

«...so it was only a matter of time when we do this. We love our community and environment we built, this is a heartbreaking step for all of us, but that's it — Fedora became a commercial distro. Our team hope this will make system even better, ...» — said Matt Hicks, RedHat Software CEO

Wrocław 🇵🇱

7/10 — perfect choice for a weekend trip, but rather won't live there.

Pretty fun activity for walk/photography/quest lovers — city is known for its Dwarfs all around. Started as a revolutionary movement, placing statues everywhere became a tradition — you can find more than 600 cute gnomes, usually doing related to location stuff. There is a Dwarf Info Point next to the Old Town Hall where you can buy a map & stickers with locations of 60 Dwarfs to start a quest (which is nice but not necessary* — you can use free app with all dwarf locations).

There are lots of beautiful places to visit like Galeria Neon Side, Old Town or the Odra river — but overall architecture is pretty basic, a lot of "boxes" and worn/not painted/battered buildings, not that streets are too clean. Roadways have bike lanes almost everywhere (first thing I noticed when arrived — a lot of cyclists 😂) and it's pretty easy to find a bicycle/scooter for rent.

Weekend trouble was closure of venues on Sunday, which is pretty ridiculous — you can find opened grocery stores at every turn, but you won't be able to buy basic meds because all pharmacies are closed 🫤

I did not use public transport at all — was aiming to find as many Dwarfs as I can — by walk ofc 🙂 However, I don't quite like its design and sizes despite it's good enough equipped inside. Also no traffic light switchers and weird timings. Otherwise it's fine, should take about 30-50 minutes to cross the whole town without transfers.

*You will have to buy tickets for 8-10 PLN to get to the tower with a Dwarf (on picture above)

Ah shit, here we go again...

Tired of Ubuntu so going to try remote development over SSH in local network

P.S. Due to specifics of my job, I need Ubuntu since we use a lot of it's native modules in our software

P.P.S. Got it working by just installing ssh server and vscode extension 🕺

💻 It's usable even on WiFi (↓ 246 ↑24.7 Mbps on speedtest.net)

• Installed Ubuntu on a laptop, enabled WoWLAN in BIOS
Enabled wakeup by MagicPackage via iw
• Set up OpenSSH server
• Wrote a small noscript¹ to wakeup & connect to the remote via ether-wake (provided by net-tools), ping and ssh
• Installed and configured VSCode on both devices
• Connected to remote VSCode via Remote - SSH extension
• Profit

¹ Will push noscript to the dotfiles repo when I won't be lazy 🥲

P.S. I realized that remote has not enough CPU performance for this project, but that's another story 😂
