Several of you sent me the analyses made using

and the datasets I sent you!🤝

💡Here are a few examples made by you:
1)Austin: compound performance per stint
2)Mexico: race pace per driver
3)Brazil: compound performance per fuel level

Easy!👌

Sainz after the start: “I just hope we bin this clutch, as soon as we're back in Maranello”.

He was the slowest driver up to 200km/h: he needed 0.7s more than the quickest ones! (Ocon and Zhou).

Best:🔴Alfa🚀 (5.55s average)
Worst:🟢Aston💀 (6.05s average)

Positions through the Brazil GP

-VER only lost the lead for 3 laps, by pitting earlier. NOR's pace at the end was phenomenal due to the late pit!
-Just 9 drivers did not get lapped. PIA finished 2 laps down.
-Mercedes' terrible pace is clear (Hamilton lost 5 places).

Tyre Strategies🛞

🟠NOR did the longest stint: 32 laps on Mediums➡️He had the newest tyres at the end, which allowed him to get the fastest lap point!

His teammate 🟠PIA did the longest stint on Softs (28 laps).

OCO did just 12laps after the restart!

🔵RedBull made the fastest pit stops this season on average (just 2.65s/pit), but 🔴Ferrari was close!

RB's worst showing (Zandvoort) was quicker (3.5s/pit) than Haas' median.

Ferrari has the record for a single race: just 2.2s/pit in Qatar!

Each point represents the average pistop time of a team during a given race.

The Mercedes W11 is the fastest F1 car ever, but it could have been much faster!

Effect of removing each limitation:
100kg/h fuel flow➡️Peak power📈
120kw electric power➡️Peak power📈
4MJ/lap deployment➡️Average power📈
Min. tyre pressure➡️Grip📈

The last time a team did that (Porsche, with their 919 Evo), we got a 5.19.5 Nurburgring lap which beat the previous record by over ONE MINUTE!

The W11 Evo would beat the 919 Evo, as the standard W11 can already compete with it.

Las Vegas GP might be the coldest F1 race EVER, if the temperature drops below 5°C (41°F)❄️🥶

Effects on performance:
-Denser air➡️Drag, Downforce📈(Ferrari advantaged vs Merc)
-Hard to heat tyres➡️Larger wings and toe angles🔥
-Easier cooling➡️Smaller outlets

Predictions?🤔

Which races had the quickest pit stops, on average?🤔

🥇UK
🥈Qatar
🥉Miami

Pitting in Monaco was hardest due to the rain, the changeable conditions and the very narrow pit area!

Singapore, another city circuit, had the 2nd slowest pits.

Over a single lap, Ferrari improved in every aspect in Brazil:

+8km/h top speed📈
+9 km/h fast turn📈
+4 km/h slow turn📈
-0.636s laptime

Still, they got far fewer points: 37 (2022) vs 13 (2023): other teams improved much more, especially concerning race pace!

Temperature in the races so far (Purple dots) vs prediction for Las Vegas (Blue Dot). ❄️🥶

Even though the daytime average will be 19°C, the night race will be less than 10°C due to the large temperature swing in the desert!

A real outlier!

Mercedes was over 1s/lap quicker on a single lap vs. last year despite running higher to avoid disqualification!🧐

+7km/h top speed📈
+11 km/h fast turn📈
+3 km/h slow turn📈
-1.052 laptime

That change, though, made tyre wear terrible! 📉
