Ideal Lap and Best Sectors:

🔵RB was quickest in Sectors 1 and 3
⚫️Mercedes was fastest in Sector 2

🟢Aston was almost as quick in Sector 3, and🟠McL was very competitive in Sector2

🔴Ferrari was quite slow everywhere!

🟢Aston's performance in qualifying was impressive:
-Highest top speed (323km/h)➡️Excellent drag
-Yet, Alonso was able to stay full-throttle for the longest! (61.8% of the lap)➡️Good downforce too

Excellent setup? Extraordinary drive? Effect of track-limit chaos?🤔

What we saw in qualifying got confirmed: 🟢 Aston DOES have an excellent top speed!

🟠 McLaren was once again quite draggy, but their excellent grip more than compensated for that.

Overtaking in the Sprint and in the Race might be difficult for ⚫️ Mercedes.

RUS was on fire at the start; he also had a good pace from the restart up to lap 9, then his soft tyres fell off📉

In the last laps, Norris was fastest: no surprise he could overtake RUS!

Sprint Start Analysis

⚫️Hamilton,⚪️Magnussen, and the🔴Alfas were the best starters: the quickest to reach 200km/h despite the Medium tyres!📈

🟠Norris had a terrible start in the first few metres: he needed 0.6s more than Sainz to reach 100km/h!📉

It's official now: teams are forbidden to do more than 18 laps on a single stint! (Otherwise: 🏴black flag and disqualification)

It will be a three-stopper: the🟡Medium compound will probably be the best option for most of the race

It will be a weird race!👀

Tyre sets available 🛞

The 🟡Medium should be the best compound, followed by the ⚪️Hard

Teams will avoid the 🔴Softs

🟦RB and 🟧McL have brought 6 Soft sets, and will have one less set of mediums

Stroll has the most new sets (5)

Yesterday, the 🟡Medium compound was MILES BETTER than the 🔴Soft one.

The Mediums were way quicker after the SC restart (over 1s/lap advantage!) and competitive when both sets were faitly new, too.

As in Japan, VER wins in front of the McLarens and eclipses his teammate

ALO closes in on HAM in the WDC by driving ‘on fire’🔥

Mercedes was QUICK! RUS did some great overtakes. The contact cost them big points: whose fault is it, in your opinion?🤔

🟠Piastri had the best mean pace! (considering non-outlier laps)
Norris was mighty quick, too: for the first time, we've heard🔵VER's engineer tell him to increase his pace‼️

🟢RUS was quick despite the traffic. LEC and ALO almost matched him. ALO>Alpines, this time.

Gap to VER - #QatarGP

🟠McL's pace in their last stint was fantastic: they recovered around 5s over🔵Verstappen. Then he pitted, but despite the fresher tyres his pace was no better!

🟢RUS's 2nd stint was brilliant, and got him P4!📈

Laptimes improved quickly up to lap 30, then they stabilised.

The 🟡 Medium compound seemed to prevail until the last part of the race, where the ⚪️ Hard was superior
This might be influenced by which part of the race the quickest and slowest teams decided to use each compound.

Only Russell did a (short) stint on the 🔴 Soft tyres.
