Al-Fajr - 89:1

Al-Fajr 89:2

وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ

By the ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah)[1],.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

"No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah)."

Then some Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Not even Jihad?"

He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things."

[Sahih Al-Bukhari, 2/969 (O.P.86)]

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari

Fasting on the Day of Arafah

Fasting on the 9th day, known as the Day of Arafah, holds immense reward.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”

(Sahih Muslim)

Superiority of deeds on the days of Tashriq

باب فَضْلِ الْعَمَلِ فِي أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ

Ibn 'Abbas said,

"Remember Allah during the well-known days; i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and also the fixed number of appointed days; i.e. the days of Tashriq."

Ibn 'Umar and Abu Hurairah used to go out to the market saying Takbir during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and the people would say Takbir after their Takbirs. Muhammad bin 'Ali used to say Takbir after Nawafil.

“Whosoever honours the Symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety of the heart.” — 22:32

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are among the most sacred moments in the Islamic calendar, days that Allah Himself has exalted. So honored are they that He swore by them in His Book, and Allah does not swear except by what is magnificent, noble, and elevated in rank.

In reverence to our Lord, we too honor these days as an expression of our veneration for Him.

These days are so weighty in virtue that time spent in worship—reciting the Qur’an, engaging in dhikr, and performing acts of devotion—is more rewarding than Jihad in the path of Allah during any other time of the year, including Ramadan. The only exception is the one who goes forth in the path of Allah with his life and wealth, and returns with neither.

Simply recognizing the sanctity of these ten blessed days and being mindful of their immense virtue is itself a source of reward—so how tremendous must the reward be for those who engage in righteous deeds during them!

Whatever good deeds you do—or continue to do—during these ten days, add the intention of doing them out of reverence for what Allah has honored. The intention to honor Allah’s sacred symbols increases the reward of your actions.

If you’ve missed the earlier days, don’t lose heart, there is still time, and today is certainly not a day to let slip by.

Today is a day crowned with a triple honor—a day unlike any other:
•It is part of the best days of the year: the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah,
•It falls on the best day of the week: Friday,
•And within it lies the precious Hour of Response (Sa’at al-Ijabah), a time in which du‘ās are answered.

These ten days are unlike any other…
They are days in which hearts are healed, du‘ās are answered, and the gates of heaven are flung wide open. So pour out your soul in supplication, and anchor your heart to the door of the One who says, “Be!”—and it is.

Seek out the sacred moments in which du‘ās are most likely to be accepted.
Within these days, a sincere call upon your Lord—“Yā Rabb”—could transform your life in ways you never imagined.

To honor and recognize the value of Allah’s sacred seasons and symbols is a sign of a heart alive with taqwā and īmān.

If you wish to measure the state of taqwā in your heart, look to how much you honor what Allah has honored, by respecting their sanctity, filling them with righteous deeds, and avoiding sins.

Whoever misses these days has missed a great treasure and a tremendous reward.

Don’t let these days slip away—
they are rare opportunities, windows of divine mercy that may never return.

When you entrust yourself to Allah you accept what Allah does. Full submission to Allah like a lifeless body before someone washing it.

As we said befor the peak of submission is to tell Allah,
"Ya Allah i am not only patient and i am not only thankful, i am wholeheartedly with your decision, i do not want it in any other way! My passion Ya Allah is what You decree.

Don't Fall into the Pitfalls of Jahm bin Safwan! | Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril (حفظه الله تعالى)

A beautiful advice from the Shaykh, may Allah reward him and his family with goodness in every way, and protect them from every evil.

A snippet from the Shaykh's on-going explanation of Kitab At-Tawheed of Imam Al-Bukhari (رحمه الله تعالى).

www.ahmadjibril.org
Amidst Uzbek government’s raids against beards and veils, parents are now being forced to sign letters of guarantee to ensure that their children do not receive religious education or attend mosques during summer/school holidays.

In these letters, various types of misconduct and crimes that students should avoid are listed, and notably, the prohibition against receiving religious education—especially attending mosques—is mentioned twice.
