Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no believing servant but that he has a sin he habitually commits from time to time, or a sin entrenched in him that he does not abandon until he departs the world. Verily, the believer was created to be tested, both repenting and forgetful. If he is reminded, he will remember.

“Among the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim are that he cover his faults, forgive his mistakes, have mercy for his errors, overlook his missteps, reject his backbiting, always give him sincere advice, preserve his good traits, guard his covenants, answer his invitations, accept his guidance, repay his gifts, show gratitude for his favours, assist him in the best manner, fulfill his needs, intercede for his problems, respond to his sneeze, refuse his misguided advice, protect him and not take him as an enemy, support him against his oppressors, restrain him from oppressing others, not surrender him, not abandon him, and to love for him what he loves for himself and to hate for him what he hates for himself.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“In the heart are disorders that cannot be remedied except by responding to Allāh. In it is a desolate feeling that cannot be removed except by intimacy with Him in solitude. In it is sadness which will not leave except by happiness with knowing Him and truthfulness in His dealings. In it is anxiety that is not made tranquil except by gathering for His sake and fleeing to Him from His punishment. In it is a fire of regret which cannot be extinguished except by satisfaction with His commands, prohibitions, and decrees, and embracing patience with that until the time he meets Him. In it is a strong desire that will not cease until He is the only one who is sought. In it is a void that cannot be filled except by His love, turning to Him, always remembering Him, and being sincere to Him. Were a person to be given the entire world and everything in it, that would never fill the void.”

Forwarded from How Qur’an Benefits
Ibn al-Qayyim (Rahimahullah) said:

If you read (the Qur'an) with contemplation, even if over a (single) ayah, it is a key to healing your heart. Even if repeated a hundred times and for the (whole) night. Reading an ayah with contemplation and understanding is better than reading to completion without tadabbur and understanding. It is more beneficial for the heart and ensures gain in faith, and in tasting sweetness of the Qur'an.

If you’re struggling in your marriage, or with anxiety, depression, or you believe you’ve been afflicted with Sihr or the evil eye — and you’re seeking a qualified senior scholar, known for his knowledge, kindness, and wisdom, grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah, who seeks no reward except the reward of His Lord, then please reach out to the Shaykh’s Instagram, and we’ll put you in contact with our beloved Shaykh Musa Jibril

Just recently, the Shaykh dealt with a case of a brother, where he was tested with a test so severe, that it would crush a mountain. As a result, the brother was dealing with severe thoughts of suicide.

By The Will and Mercy of Allah Alone, the Shaykh was able to be a means of assistance and deterrence for the brother, may Allah ease his affairs and grant him a beautiful patience.

Don’t suffer alone, nor suffer at the hands of merchants who have made a business via the sufferings of people.

May Allah reward our beloved Shaykh with goodness in this life, and the next, Bless and Protect him and his family from every evil — and Bless him with a long life filled with actions pleasing to Allah The Most High Above His Throne.

Al-Muzzammil 73:1
O you wrapped in garments (i.e. Prophet Muhammad SAW)!

Al-Muzzammil 73:2
Stand (to pray) all night, except a little.

Al-Muzzammil 73:3
Half of it, or a little less than that,

Al-Muzzammil 73:4
Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style.

Al-Muzzammil 73:5
Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word (i.e. obligations, legal laws, etc.).

Al-Muzzammil 73:6
Verily, the rising by night (for Tahajjud prayer) is very hard and most potent and good for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (understanding) the Word (of Allah).

I remember a brother once told me and a friend,
“My sister’s marrying a practising Muslim.”

We asked, “What makes you say that?”
He replied, “Oh, he prays all five daily prayers.”
As if that was some kind of world record.

So we asked, “And what else?”
He said, “That’s it… isn’t that hard enough?”

Praying five times a day isn’t a bonus,
It’s the bare minimum.

Being a basic Muslim today is seen as “practising” —
That’s how far the bar has dropped.

Let’s raise it again.

A believer does not love to remain in this world except for the sake of benefiting others and increasing in good deeds. When times become corrupt, and he knows that he is unable to bring about reform or the like, then the belly of the earth is better for him than its surface.
