AYAT OF THE DAY

Qaf - 50:42

Arabic
يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ

English - Mohsin Khan/Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
The Day when they will hear As-Saihah (shout, etc.) in truth, that will be the Day of coming out (from the graves i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

English - Ibn Kathir
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ

The Day when they will hear As-Sayhah in truth,

in reference to the blowing in the Trumpet which will bring forth the truth that most of them discounted and denied,

ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ



that will be the Day of coming out. (from the graves),

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ

Ibrahim 14:33
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيۡنِۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ

And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you.

At-Tahrim 66:5
عَسَىٰ رَبُّهُۥٓ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبۡدِلَهُۥٓ أَزۡوَٰجًا خَيۡرًا مِّنكُنَّ مُسۡلِمَٰتٍ مُّؤۡمِنَٰتٍ قَٰنِتَٰتٍ تَٰٓئِبَٰتٍ عَٰبِدَٰتٍ سَٰٓئِحَٰتٍ ثَيِّبَٰتٍ وَأَبۡكَارًا

It may be if he divorced you (all) that his Lord will give him instead of you, wives better than you, Muslims (who submit to Allah), believers, obedient to Allah, turning to Allah in repentance, worshipping Allah sincerely, fasting or emigrants (for Allah's sake), previously married and virgins.


އެކަލޭގެފާނު، ތިޔަކަނބަލުން ވަރިކުރައްވައިފިނަމަ، ތިޔަކަނބަލުންނަށްވުރެ ހެޔޮކަންބޮޑު އަނބިންތަކެއް، އޭގެބަދަލުގައި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ދެއްވައިފާނެތެވެ. (އެއީ) إسلام ވެގެންވާ، إيمان ވެގެންވާ، ކިޔަމަންވާ، توبة ވާ، އަޅުވެރި، ރޯދަހިފާ، ބިކުރުވެރިނޫން އަނބިންނާއި، ބިކުރުވެރި އަނބިންނެވެ.

Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (radiyAllahu'anhu) said to a man who was thinking of divorcing his wife:

“Why do you want to divorce her?” He said, “I do not love her.” ‘Umar said, “Must every house be built on love? What about loyalty and appreciation?”

(Al-Bayan wa at-Tabayeen, 2/101)

Don't look down on someone facing an affliction. It may be that Allah is purifying him and waiting to punish you.

The Prophet صل الله عليه وسلم:

‎“The one who repents from sin is like the one who did not sin.”

‎[Ibn Maajah no. 4250]

Ibn Taymiyyah:

If one repents from sin then the punishment and consequences of the sin are removed.

[Sharh al-‘Umdah v. 4 p. 39]

Verily, you will find the believer (muʾmin) consistent time after time, upon one way, showing the same face; [whereas] you will find the hypocrite (munāfiq) changing colors, trying to be like everyone around him, running with every wind.

“Your nafs is just like your enemy, once it finds you serious, it obeys you. If it finds weakness from you, it will take you as a prisoner.”

[Ibn Qayyim | al-Fawa'id v. 3 p. 1202]

‎Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله stated:

‎"The best and most virtuous of all of the days of the servant is the day of his repentance to Allāh."

‎[Zād Al-Ma'ād 3/512]

‎ Al-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Wāḥid said: I heard a man say to Abū Ibrāhīm al-Sharbī:

“O Abū Ibrāhīm, indeed so-and so hates you.”

So he replied: “There is no delight in his nearness, nor melancholy in his absence.”
