Al-Hasan Al-Basri said:
“I met some people who would not rejoice at the splendor of life when it came to them, nor dedicate their attention to any part of it that went away from them. This life was as worthless in their eyes as dust.
One of them lived for fifty or sixty years during which he only owned the clothes that he wore, did not have a barrier between his body and the floor when he slept, and did not ask his family to cook a dish of food for him.
When night came, they would be standing and then laying their foreheads on the floor (in Sujud [prostration]), with tears running down their cheeks. They begged their Lord to free their necks (from the Fire).
Whenever they performed a good deed, they never stopped being grateful for it, and asked الله in supplication to accept it. Whenever they commited an error, they felt sad and begged الله to forgive it for them, may الله’s mercy and pleasure be on them.
By الله! They were not saved from the repercussions and evil consequences of sins, except through الله ’s forgiveness.”
– (Al-Ihya, vol.4, p.239)

One forgotten aspect of loving your brethren for the sake of الله
Seeking forgiveness for them. Especially for wrongdoings or hurt (intentionally or unintentionally) they may have done to you.
Loving your brother and sister purely for the sake of الله means you shudder at the thought of them being punished by Him, either in this dunya, or worse, in the Hereafter- especially with regards to something related to you.
So hasten to forgive each other. Let go of personal grudges. (RACE!)
Make your hearts clean.

Ar-Rum 30:7

They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, like irrigating or sowing or reaping, etc.), and they are heedless of the Hereafter.

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“If the heart tastes the sweetness of the worship of Allaah and sincerity towards Him, nothing besides this will be sweeter, more delightful, pleasurable and agreeable. Moreover, a person only abandons something beloved to him, when it is for something else even more beloved to him or because of fear of something harmful. Corrupt love can be relinquished by the heart as a result of a righteous love or fear of harm.”

My heart wept with the words of Shaykh Musa حفظه الله for his wife 💔

"Umm Ahmad - may Allah bless her soul - was so obedient and beloved to my heart, she had this special fear of Allah in her heart that encouraged her to do everything she could to facilitate and make things easy for me, especially when I would study myself and/or teach students. She made everything easy for me. She was the coolness to my eyes for whom despite the hard long days I endured, everything became easy. It really puts into perspective the Hadith of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم wherein he said, "the best enjoyment in the world is a righteous wife.” For sure, they help to make what seems unbearable, bearable. She was to me as Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) was to the Prophet, tender, encouraging and supportive until her last breath. She passed away just as I was released from prison, I was in the halfway house. We never managed to spend one day or one night together after my release until Allah took her soul. When she came to visit me and she sat down next to me I noticed something was wrong, it was a long journey for her and I sat waiting for her with her favourite chocolate in my hand. I noticed she was sick despite how much she tried to conceal it. She got sick when we were in prison, and she loved us so very much, I can only imagine how hard it must have been for her but she found solace in the company of Allah. I loved her devotion to Allah. By Allah, she did not pass away except that I was utmost pleased with her, just as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah." I ask Allah Almighty to forgive her and reward her with the highest station in Al Fridaus 'Ala!"

“Taqwaa is not fasting by day and standing for prayers by night.
But taqwaa is to desert/leave what Allah has forbidden and to fulfill what He has commanded - and whoever puts forth goodness after that, then that is khair upon khair.”
[Jaami’ ‘Uloom Wal Hikam, by Ibn Rajb p. 170]

THE BEST JILBĀB
It is narrated that the wife of Ibn Mas'ūd requested from him a Jilbāb (an outer garment) and he said:
"I fear that you will leave the Jilbāb of Allāh which He has covered you with." She said: "What is that?" He said: "Your house."
