The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales; and do not look for the others' faults and do not spy, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one another, and do not hate one another; and O Allah's worshipers! Be brothers (as Allah has ordered you!")

Negative thinking about our fellow Muslims is a root cause of enmity, jealousy, and disunity. This Hadith prohibits all causes of negative thinking, whether it be unfounded suspicion, backbiting, or spying. All these sins must be avoided.

Al-Hujurat 49:12
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱجۡتَنِبُواْ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعۡضَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِثۡمٌۖ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُواْ وَلَا يَغۡتَب بَّعۡضُكُم بَعۡضًاۚ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمۡ أَن يَأۡكُلَ لَحۡمَ أَخِيهِ مَيۡتًا فَكَرِهۡتُمُوهُۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.


އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހީގެތެރެއިން ގިނަކަންތަކާ ދުރުވެގަންނާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބައެއް ހީއަކީ ފާފައެކެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަކު އަނެކަކަށް ޖާސޫސް ނުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް غيبة ނުބުނާށެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންކުރެ އެކަކުވެސް އޭނާގެ أخ އާގެ މަސް މުޅަކޮށް ކެއުމަށް ލޯބިކުރާނެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަމަކަށް ނުރުހޭނޫއެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ގިނަގިނައިން توبة قبول ކުރައްވާ رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

𝖳𝗁𝖾 𝗆𝗈𝗋𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖽𝗋𝗂𝗇𝗄 𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗆 𝗂𝗍， 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗋𝗌𝗍𝗂𝖾𝗋 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖻𝖾𝖼𝗈𝗆𝖾 ~

𝖶𝗁𝗒 𝖽𝗈 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗌𝖾𝖺𝗋𝖼𝗁 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝗁𝖺𝗉𝗉𝗂𝗇𝖾𝗌𝗌 𝗂𝗇 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝖼𝖾𝗌 𝖿𝖺𝗋 𝖺𝗐𝖺𝗒 𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗆 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖫𝗈𝗋𝖽 𝗐𝗁𝗈 𝗀𝗋𝖺𝗇𝗍𝗌 𝗂𝗍?

Al-Mulk 67:23
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُمۡ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۖ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ

Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts. Little thanks you give.

ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އެކަލާނގެއީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އުފައްދަވައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އިވުމާއި، ފެނުމާއި، ހިތްތައް، ލެއްވި ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ކުރަނީ ވަރަށްވެސް މަދުންނެވެ.

Al-Ma'idah 5:7
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَمِيثَٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذۡ قُلۡتُمۡ سَمِعۡنَا وَأَطَعۡنَاۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

And remember Allah's Favour upon you and His Covenant with which He bound you when you said: "We hear and we obey." And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Knower of the secrets of (your) breasts.

ތިމަންމެން އަހައި ކިޔަމަންވެއްޖައީމުއޭ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބުނިހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް اللَّه ދެއްވާފައިވާ نعمة އާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކިބައިން އެކަލާނގެ ހިއްޕަވާފައިވާ عهد ކަށަވަރު ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ހިތްތަކުގައިވާހާ ކަމެއް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
