True reality of good character

Al-Hasan al-Basree rahimahullaah said : The true reality of good character is: Doing good to others, withholding from harming, and having a cheerful face; and al-Qaadee 'lyaad said: It is to associate with the people in a beautiful manner, to have a cheerful face, to show love for them, to show compassion for them, to tolerate the harm they cause, to be forbearing with them, to have patience upon disagreeable things, to abandon having pride or being arrogant towards them; and to avoid harshness, anger, and taking them to account.

This World is a Journey...
so do not seek comfort yet

"Mankind, ever since they were created, have been travelling and they have nowhere to stop except (ultimately) in Paradise or Hellfire.
The intelligent one knows that travel is built upon difficulty and encountering dangers, and it is inconceivable typically to seek pleasure and comfort in it, rather that is found after the travelling ends (and you arrive at your destination).."

A sign of your well-being is that you become forgetful of your grudges, and that you remember people by their better selves.
Anas ibn Malik reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , said to me:
"Young man, if you are able every morning and evening to remove any malice in your heart towards anyone, do so."
Then, the Prophet said to me:
"Young man, that is my tradition. Whoever revives my tradition has loved me, and whoever loves me will be with me in Paradise.'
