Ibn Al-Qayyim said:
“A believer never attains perfect pleasure from a sin, and he cannot attain happiness through it. Whenever he tries to attain it, sorrow will always be the constant companion of his heart . Nevertheless the intoxicant of sin covers him with pleasure to it. Whoever devoid his heart from this sorrow, and intensified in its cover and lusts, and there by runs out his Ēmān, upon him is to weep for the death of his heart.”

"I think part of the test is when a believer supplicates and receives no response, and he repeats the dua for a long time and sees no sign of a response. He should realise that this is a test and needs patience.”

How much Qur'an should we read?

Al-Hasan Al-Basri al say heard a group of people arguing, so he said:
"These people have become bored with worship, and speech has become light upon (their tongue), and their piety has decreased and that is why they speak."

AYAT OF THE DAY
Al-Hadid 57:21
سَابِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
Race one with another in hastening towards Forgiveness from your Lord (Allah), and towards Paradise, the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން ފާފަފުއްސެވުން ލިބިގަތުމަށާއި، އެތާނގެ ތަނަވަސްކަން އުޑާއި ބިމުގެ ތަނަވަސްކަންފަދަ ސުވަރުގެޔަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރިއަރައިދާށެވެ! އެ ސުވަރުގެ ތައްޔާރު ކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ، اللَّه އަށާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول ންނަށް إيمان ވި މީހުންނަށްޓަކައެވެ. އެއީ اللَّه ގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ އަޅަކަށް އެ فضل ވަންތަކަން ދެއްވަތެވެ. اللَّه އީ، ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

Al-Jumu'ah 62:1
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡمَلِكِ ٱلۡقُدُّوسِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah, the King (of everything), the Holy, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
ރަސްވަންތަ، طاهر ވަންތަ، عزيز ވަންތަ، حكيم ވަންތަ اللَّه އަށް އުޑުތަކާއި، ބިމުގައިވާހާ ތަކެއްޗެއް تسبيح ކިޔަތެވެ.

There is no escape from the trials of the dunya, so wrap yourself in patience and prayer.
And hold on to these words:
"Verily with every hardship comes ease"
