AYAT OF THE DAY 🔥

Saba' 34:40
وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ

And (remember) the Day when He will gather them all together, and then will say to the angels: "Was it you that these people used to worship?"

(40) އަދި އެއެންމެން އެކަލާނގެ އެއްކުރައްވައި مَحْشَر ކުރައްވާ ދުވަހުން (އެއެންމެން އެއްކުރައްވާފައި) ދެން އެކަލާނގެ މަލާއިކަތްބޭކަލުން ކުރެން އައްސަވާ ސުވާލުކުރައްވާނެއެވެ. މި މީހުން މިއީ ކަޑައެޅިގެން ކަލޭމެނަށް އަޅުކަންކުރި މީހުންހެއްޔެވެ؟

Do Not Entrust Your Religion To Every Claimant of Knowledge

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله stated: "How strange this affair is!
If a person claims knowledge in a field from the different sciences/ occupations of the worldly affairs, but the people have not known him to possess knowledge of this field, nor have they ever seen him with its respective tools or equipment. They would accuse him of lying with regards to his claim of possessing knowledge of this field and they would not trust him with their money, nor would they allow him to work with their money in that which he claims.

So how about the individual who claims [to posses| knowledge of the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, yet this person has never been seen writing down knowledge concerning the Messenger ﷺ in or sitting with the people of knowledge, nor studying it.

How strange it is that rational people could accept his claim and entrust him with their religion; and thus have him corrupt it with his fallacious claim!"

Muhammad 47:23
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمۡ وَأَعۡمَىٰٓ أَبۡصَٰرَهُمۡ

Such are they whom Allah has cursed, so that He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.

(23) ކަނޑައެޅިގެން އެފަދަމީހުން އެއީ الله لَعْنَة ލެއްވި މީހުންނެވެ. ފަހެ އެކަލާނގެ އެމީހުންނަށް (ހެޔޮއެއްޗެއް ނުވިސްނޭމެގޮތުން) ބީރުކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ އެމީހުންގެ ލޯތައްއަދިރި ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. (އެއީ مَعْنَوِى ގޮތުން حَقُّ ތެދު އެއްޗެއް ނުފެންނާނެގޮތުންނެވެ.)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No prayer is heavier upon the hypocrites than the Fajr and the `Isha' prayers and if they knew what is in them (in reward), they would have attended them, even if (it was) crawling. Certainly, I felt the urge to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) so that he would pronounce Iqama, then order a man to lead the people (in prayer), then take a flame of fire so that I burn (the houses) upon those who had not left for the prayer yet."

It is no surprise that in the absence of qualified scholars and students of knowledge, the unqualified take up positions within the Muslim community — whether their intentions are pure or sinister — the results are usually catastrophic.

Whether it is to reconcile between two spouses, act as a Wali for Sisters with no Wali, or just general marital and familial issues — it is essential to bring in someone who has sufficient Shar’i knowledge, as well as practical Wisdom, who is impartial to everything but Justice and Reconciliation (when appropriate).

It was suggested to Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril (حفظه الله تعالى), that he provide this necessary service to the Muslim Community, and after seeing the ramifications of this gap himself, he accepted, والحمدلله.

As such, someone created the following email address for the Shaykh — which will only be accessible by him from this point onward — for those who are experiencing any of the aforementioned issues, or simply have general questions, we ask that you feel free to contact the Shaykh, and Insha’Allah when he’s able to, he will get back to you.

We advise all those who are experiencing marital, communal, or familial issues to seek the advice of someone you can truly trust, who will have no personal interest, nor take advantage of your situation and seek to further his own personal gain.
