AYAT OF THE DAY
At-Taghabun 64:14
O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Narrated `Aisha RA:
Some people asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the fore-tellers. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to them, "They are nothing (i.e., liars)." The people said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! Sometimes they tell something which comes out to be true." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "That word which comes to be true is what a jinx snatches away by stealing and then pours it in the ear of his fore-teller with a sound similar to the cackle of a hen, and then they add to it one-hundred lies."
Sahih al-Bukhari, 6213
In-Book Reference: Book 78, Hadith 237

Lower your expectations of others, do not hold other people to a high level of morality because you will be disappointed. This doesn't mean you think or assume bad about them.
Instead, have high expectations for yourself, because you know what you're capable of and what you are not. Push your limits every day and don't give up on yourself so easily.
One of your main objectives in life is to work on yourself such that your character, manners, knowledge and everything invite others closer towards goodness, not to push them away entirely ~

When earthquakes occurred, some of the Salaf said it’s a reminder from Allah to repent, reflect, & receive admonition.
May Allah ease the affairs of our brothers & sisters in the affected countries.

Be the one
who anticipates a great reward in Jannah
instead of the one who wants Jannah
but does nothing to get there.
