The Origin of Happiness
Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله , said:
"Whoever abandoned anything for the sake of Allah; Allah will compensate him with what is better. And compensation is of different kinds and the best is to be compensated by Allah with His Love, and satisfaction within his heart, its strength, activity, happiness, and contentment."

Forwarded from Lanterns of Tawheed
Ties you keep,
let it be in pursuit of His Grace.
Ties you sever,
sincerely seeking His Face.
For how many a bond we maintained,
despite the tears that stained our cheek.
And how many nights we mourned,
about which we cannot speak.
Bridges going up in flames,
while our own hands have set them on fire.
What good are those who connect to evil,
when we live for something Higher?
Tears washed over our hearts,
so they became purified and clear.
Betrayal has never been a stranger,
abandonment never a fear.
So if all that’s gained is purity,
then foolish is one who complains.
To have a heart of glass that shatters,
is more honorable than one in flames.
let it be in pursuit of His Grace.

loves being exhausted and exerting itself for Allah; surely, Allah's love is not acquired through comfort"

Ibn ul-Qayyim رحمه الله said,
If Allah wants well for a slave, He strips away from his heart the ability to see his own good deeds and speaking about them with his tongue, and preoccupies him with seeing his own sin, and it continues to remain in front of his eyes until he enters jannah.

Drag your feet to the prayer mat, until one day your heart drags you. Force yourself to make dua, until one day your tears force you. Human beings become easily addicted to their habits, so tell me what greater joy than being addicted to the One who created you.
