AYAH OF THE DAY

Al-Hadid 57:15
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ لَا يُؤۡخَذُ مِنكُمۡ فِدۡيَةٌ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ مَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ هِىَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمْۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

So this Day no ransom shall be taken from you (hypocrites), nor of those who disbelieved, (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). Your abode is the Fire, that is the proper place for you, and worst indeed is that destination.

Divehi - Abu Bakr Ibrahim Ali (Bakurube)
(15) ދެންފަހެ މިއަދު ކަލޭމެންގެކިބައިން އެއްވެސްފިދުޔައެއް ނުހިފެވޭނެއެވެ. ޤަބޫލު ނުވެވޭނެއެވެ. އަދިކާފަރުންގެ އަތުންވިޔަސް (ޤަބޫލު ނުވެވޭނެއެވެ.) ކަލޭމެންގެ ޖާގަޔަކީނަރަކައެވެ. ކަލޭމެންގެ ސަހަރޯވެރިއަކީ އެއީއެވެ. ނުވަތަ ކަލޭމެނަށްއައުލާވެގެންވަނީ އެތަނެވެ. އެއީވާ ގޮސްތިބުން ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ތަނެކެވެ.

Al-Hajj 22:65

See you not that Allah has subjected to you (mankind) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except by His Leave. Verily, Allah is, for mankind, full of Kindness, Most Merciful.

Divehi - Abu Bakr Ibrahim Ali (Bakurube)
(65) (އޭ رسول اللّه އެވެ.) ހަމަކަށަވަރުން ބިމުގައިވާހާ އެއްޗެއް ކަލޭމެނަށް (އިންސާނުންނަށް) ޓަކައި اللّه تعالى ކިޔަމަންކޮށްދެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ނައުދޯގުފަހަރު އެކަލާނގެ أمر ފުޅަށް ކަނޑުގައި ދުވެއެވެ. މިކަންކަން ދެނެވަޑައިނުގަންނަވައިތޯއެވެ؟ އެބަހީ: ދެނެވަޑައިގަންނަވާނެއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ އިޒުނަފުޅަށް މެނުވީ ބިމުގެ މައްޗަށް އުޑުވެއްޓުނަ ނުދެއްވައި އެކަލާނގެ ހިފަހައްޓަވައެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން اللّه تعالى އީ މީސްތަކުންނަށް ނުހަނު އޯގާވަންތަ އަދި رحمة ލެއްވުން ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ކަލާނގެއެވެ.

Imam Ahmad reported that 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan رضي الله عنه was heard saying,

'If I were to be between Paradise and Hell and I do not know to which of these two I will be sent to, I would wish that I were dust before knowing my fate!'

Sufyan at-Thawri رحمه الله, said:

"It has reached us, and Allah knows best, that grief and sorrow are what a believer will encounter most in his record of good deeds on the day of judgement."

Do not get the perception that slander and backbiting is only by tongues and lips. It could be by a wink or a gesture, and it only gets worse on Twitter, Facebook and internet forums. Does that count? Yes that does count. Someone might say but I was disguised by the screen and nobody knew.

أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? (Surat al-‘Alaq: 14)

يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ تُعۡرَضُونَ لَا تَخۡفَىٰ مِنكُمۡ خَافِيَةٌ۬
That Day shall you be brought to Judgment, not a secret of you will be hidden. (Surat al-Haaqqah: 18)

On that Day you shall be exposed to view – no secrets. Now you can keep it a secret, but no secret of yours will remain hidden on that Day.

سَتُكۡتَبُ شَهَـٰدَتُہُمۡ وَيُسۡـَٔلُونَ
Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be questioned! (Surat az-Zukhruf: 19)

There is no difference between tongue and gesture, and Twitter and Facebook. You will be held accountable for all that.

AYAH OF THE DAY

Al-Hujurat 49:11
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا يَسۡخَرۡ قَوۡمٌ مِّن قَوۡمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُواْ خَيۡرًا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا نِسَآءٌ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيۡرًا مِّنۡهُنَّۖ وَلَا تَلۡمِزُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَلَا تَنَابَزُواْ بِٱلۡأَلۡقَٰبِۖ بِئۡسَ ٱلِٱسۡمُ ٱلۡفُسُوقُ بَعۡدَ ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَتُبۡ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one's brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked", etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).

(11) އޭއީމާންވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ކަލޭމެން އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް މަލާމާތް ނުކުރާށެވެ. އެމީހުން (އެބަހީ މަލާމާތްލިބޭމީހުން) އަނެއް މީހުންނަށްވުރެ (އެބަހީ މަލާމާތްކުރާމީހުންނަށްވުރެ) ހެޔޮބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ވެދާނެއެވެ. އަދި އަންހެނުންވެސް އަންހެނުންނާއި (މަލާމާތް ނުކުރާށެވެ.) އެކަނބަލުންވެދާނެއެވެ. (އެބަހީ މަލާމާތް ލިބޭމީހުން) މިކަނބަލުންނަށްވުރެ ހެޔޮކަމުގައި (އެބަހީ މަލާމާތްކުރާ މީހުންނަށްވުރެ ހެޔޮކަމުގައި) ވެދާނެއެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭމެން އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް عَيْبُ ނުކިޔާށެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭމެން އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް ހުތުރު ލަގަބު ނުކިޔާށެވެ. ހުތުރު ވަނަން ނުކިޔާށެވެ. އެއީ ފާސިޤު ކަމެކެވެ. އީމާންކަމަށްފަހު فَاسِقُ ނުބައި ނަންކިއުން ނުބައިވެގެންވެއެވެ. އަދި ތައުބާ ނުވެއްޖެބަޔަކު ދަންނައެ! ފަހެ ކަނޑައެޅިގެން އެމީހުން އެއީ އަނިޔާވެރިންނެވެ.
