Allah says in surah Aal 'Imran:

[أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ اللَّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ]

"Is something other than Allah's religion what you seek? Everyone in the heavens and the earth submits to Him, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him they will be returned." [83]

... Abu al-'Aliyah explained this ayah by saying: Every human being has acknowledged to himself, "Allah is my Lord and I am His slave." As for those who worship others alongside Allah, that is the one who submits begrudgingly. And the one who makes his servitude exclusively for Allah, that is the one who submits willingly.

And they ask you about your love for seclusion, say it is a relief from backbiting, an escape from gossip, and a means to ward off the sins of the tongue, and a mercy that keeps me away from " he said, she said.”

The older I get the more I realise why Yaqub (عليه السلام) said "I only complain my suffering to Allah." (12:86).

People don't understand your pain, and neither can they comfort you the way Allah سبحانه و تعالى can and does.
