Or do those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy), think that Allah will not bring to light all their hidden ill-wills?

Forwarded from Haqq Hurts Hypocrites
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allāh, and do not feel helpless.
If anything befalls you, do not say ‘If only I had done (such and such), the such and such would have happened,’ - rather say: ‘Allāh has decreed and what He wills He does,’ - for ‘if only’ opens the door to the work of the shaytān.”
[Muslim (2664)]

The empty shell deep down in your heart can never be satisfied until you fill it with the love and remembrance of Allah.

Keep fighting your nafs. Don’t let one slip up make you give up completely. Get up and repent to Allah and try again. So long as you live, your chance is still there. Prostrate and beg to Allah to keep you firm and you will succeed.

How beautiful is it that Allāh forgives you for things you can’t even forgive yourself for?
