It is disingenuous to speak about the Ummah suffering when we are eating takeaways every week whilst the Muwwahideen, the Aseer and their families who have suffered for the change of the reality of the Ummah have no share in our support.

— Surat al-A’raf:22

This verse is evidence that the greater Allah's displeasure with a person, the more exposed their Awrah becomes. Conversely, the more Allah is pleased with an individual, the more covered they are in the garments of piety.

Imam Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said:

“Every time you get a heartfelt feeling to repent, the troops of your desires attack and overcome your intentions. Slaughter the throat of desire with the knife of firm resolve, because so long as desire remains alive you are never safe from the relapse of an ever-changing heart (from good to evil). Let the tears you shed in the darkness of the night be your intercessors for when you make mistakes.”
