Anon is a good son

Many such cases and many regrets. The worse is that most of the times there is no turning back, especially for women, they don't have as much time as men do to sort their lives out.

My 6th son was born tonight. I delivered him right in my living room. I always wonder what kind of men they'll be when I look down on them for the first time.

They'll be explorers, inventors, soldiers, heroes, Fathers, my Sons. Sons of the West.

Regardless of our age or experience, we can learn from other people and pass knowledge from them on to younger individuals. Those who are wiser aid in the restless young to better temper their own selves with patience and to learn new skills. In a social circle the old cannot exist without the young just as the young cannot exist without the old.

If you are in a situation where you are overwhelmed with a sheer amount of knowledge then shut your mouth and listen. If you can teach others, teach those who WANT to be taught and are willing to listen. Have patience with yourself if you are not able to learn everything you want to in one day.

We never become the strongest in one day but we can become stronger and wiser with each passing one.

Thoughts on Tolkien? He served in WW1 and used what he experienced there to write the Lord of the Rings. It seems that the different creatures in the books are inspired from the different armies in WW1.

Does anyone around here know of what would be the best course of action to avoid the development of allergies/asthma in babies and children?

I'm looking around and can't find anything very solid (beyond breastfeeding and early exposure to food allergens). I suspect that the more natural environment, the better, but beyond that I can't think anything more.
