"I see somewhat of a tendency to make family an idol time to time for believers . While myself I'm very active in promoting family and I'm very much for having one but hear me out. The purpose of a man's life is salvation, the way to salvation is through the narrow path, stepping off the narrow path of virtue and repentance takes your salvation away, hence salvation is hard and many will walk through the wide gate that doesn't lead anywhere good.

Unless we walk the narrow path towards eternal life, and focus only on that, how can everything else be in order? I'm glad when I see people desireing family deeply, but wouldn't it be greater if we desired salvation way more than family? And family would come naturally after, because of attraction a man finds a woman, and because of attraction she concieves. Then because of your drive to salvation and lack of compromise the child is saved. Having a child and not focusing purely on salvation risks them walking the wide path, but leading in the narrow path leads you both to life.

I'm sure that the women here will agree that a man with such a strong mission and desire for salvation, who knows that is exactly what he wants and nothing else will awaken much attraction in her, and might even cause liberal women to repent.

It is written seek first the kingdom and everything should be added to you. So let's first seek the kingdom, and by virtue of seeking the kingdom with all our effort, lead ourself first, and then those around us to salvation. and by not compromising with the world, witnessing the faith to unbelievers who would have seen martyrs in the first centuries not compromise for even death, and repented, some even joined the martyrs during their execution for their thirst for salvation inspired them.

They could not fear death because their desire for salvation was so great, and shared the light with the pagans. But if all the martyrs compromised their faith, made offerings to ceasar, didn't worship, didn't witness, not only would they not be saved themselves, but also would not share the gospel of salvation and lead others to eternal life.

Seek first the kingdom of God and all those things should be added to you.
