It’s becoming a trend that single, childless women are haunted by dreams of having a baby, only to wake up and realize it was all just a dream and becoming sad.

Motherhood is magical. It grants you the power to fall in love with someone before ever meeting them. It gifts you amazing instincts to look after your cubs. It fuels you in ways you can’t explain to keep you going no matter how exhausted you are. And it expands your heart and fills it with more love than you have ever felt.

We got our daughter a new set of "The Armor of God" from Christian Book - and God gave us the best afternoon sun for a fun photo shoot. She takes it so seriously ❤️
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."

Does your husband’s heart trust in you?
“The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.”
Proverbs 31:11 KJV
I mentioned a dinner I had with a couple where the wife took on the role as the head. Her husband asked for prayers for his father, who had recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He was going to go into surgery. He would visit his dad for a week while he was recovering. He was clearly very concerned for his health & wanted to be there - the surgery had a 50% survival rate.
I asked, “If he needs you any longer would you be able to stay?” And before he could open his mouth his wife said “He better not!” She cut her eyes at him and said “Someone else can be with him.” Then she continued to talk about how her homeschool schedule needed his attention more than his father. You could see his face fall as he tried to laugh and say “Yeah, my brother can do it.”
I was shocked that he wasn’t “allowed” to. They are financially stable & have very supportive friends and family who would join in and help with the kids if needed - I know them all personally.
Why not let your husband put his head on your shoulder while he laments his father’s health? Why decide this was the time to battle about whose stress was “more stressful”? Why not see this as an opportunity to show your man how much you love him by having him return to a clean home with warm food on the table? Why not see this as a chance to serve him - to be his right hand? Why not see this season as a time for your husband to build his trust in you as you care for his home & children while he tends to his ill father?
A woman of God should seek to magnify the love & power of the Lord in every action she takes, especially in marriage. Please do not forget the beauty of serving our husbands and allowing their hearts to trust in us. You may be renewing his faith daily in the loving actions you take. For the love of God’s kingdom, do not be the thorn in your husband’s side.
“It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.”
Proverbs 21:9 KJV
“A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.”
Proverbs 27:15 KJV
“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.”
Proverbs 12:4 KJV
