One of those more dark sided moments of history, yet it's important that these lessons be reflected upon: forgiveness in the family.

This man who is now an elder, but denounced his mother in his teenaged years during the Cultural Revolution had resulted in the death of his own mother. Years later he begs for forgiveness and seeks to repent of the grevious offense committed against the one who gave life to him.

Respect your parents. Honor your ancestors. Seek their forgiveness when you have injured them, before it is too late. Do not take your parents for granted.

Today we celebrate and venerate St. Joseph, earthly father of Our Saviour and most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fulgent example of Christian virtue for husbands, fathers, workers, and men.

The Memorare prayer to St. Joseph:
"Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me"
