Please pray for Jeremiah and Michaela Harrison. Their young son Jaimie was found to have a brain tumor and is scheduled for an emergency surgery this coming Monday, January 15th. The Harrisons have humbly asked for all of our prayers through the intercession of Dom Prosper Guéranger (see below), who has inspired much of their work.

God our Father, your servant Dom Prosper Guéranger, Abbot of Solesmes, guided by

the Holy Spirit, helped a multitude of your faithful people rediscover the meaning of the liturgy as the source of true Christian life.

May his devotion to your Holy Church and his filial love for the Immaculate Virgin, inspired by the mystery of the Incarnate Word, be a light for Christians of our own day.

Deign, O Lord, to grant the favor we ask you by his intercession, so that his sanctity may be recognized by all and that the Church may soon allow us to invoke him as one of your blessed and one of your saints. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

She was an Italian married layperson. “Mamma Rosa”, as she was fondly called, was like the all types of mothers in one mother. She had nine biological children, two adopted stepchildren (from her husband’s first marriage), and dozens of foster children. She fed the babies of others without accepting compensation and educated the kids to a solid Christian life. Many priestly and religious vocations blossomed in her home.
