Sad, but far too true and each generation since mostly continues this mistake, with only the most recent starting to wake up to these lies.

This also reminds me of those who marries but wait to have children or try to choose out of whim an ideal number for them, to just "enjoy" the company of their partner, setting up a life in that foundation, in which pleasure takes precedent over what love is, to give up ourselves to God, to our family, to our wife etc, it will only lead to depresion, anxiety, such unhappy life.
