Incoming six messages I have put together regarding a possible lack of feminine products at the stores and what you can do to be ahead of the panic.
This is a bit of a deviation from normal posts here. However, I was given the ok by other mods to share this.

Imports from China are still at near zero. This may not affect a lot of staple foods that are grown in your country but it absolutely does affect plastic and paper products, such as feminine products, diapers, etc. You don't want to be caught with nothing to use!

Given the state of the world, it would be prudent for you and your family to invest in making your own cloth products - cloth pads, cloth wipes, even cloth diapers. If you have a sewing machine you're already ahead of the game. If you don't, a cheap 80$ Brother, or even borrowed from a friend or family or found from a thrift or sewing / vacuum store are great places to look. If you're not fond of crafts and DIY (which I highly recommend every family geared woman should be), check etsy... Just check the shop for the source.

If you're ready to sew, here are some tutorials, I have used them myself and can attest to their efficacy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM85aA8QjvA This is the only video of the style of pattern I have on Youtube. It is not my favorite tutorial but it does the job and you can get the idea. If you want all natural fibers near your body (which I recommend to reduce risk of irritation or infection) you do NOT need PUL or fleece like she uses. Quilting cotton as a top layer works fine.
Here are three variations to cloth pads, PDF patterns. Feel free to download. You can bolster your pattern by tracing it on cardboard or card stock if you prefer.

As far as washing, wash hot and dry normally. They can bunch up in the dryer so if this is the case for you you may want to air dry in the sun or iron hot afterwards.
As far as cloth diapers, I bought mine online. Unfortunately, most are from China unless you're willing to spend a fortune. However if you are so inclined, you can make yours at home, too! I highly doubt fabric stores will be dealing with mass panic buying so you will probably be okay buying supplies. This site has a lot of good info. I have not made my own so I can't share anything from personal experience, and cloth diapering is a whole can of beans that getting into would derail from the channel topic. So, for moms (or prospective moms) reading this, I hope this information is helpful. Whether you do this to prepare for shortages or just to be frugal and free yourself from buying disposable stuff all the time, it helps!
