This applies to Zolt with Germany and Russia for example or Francis Parker Yockey just replace Russia with Italy while still seeing America as the greater enemy to fascism, Zolt respects Italy but not like he loves Germany.

This applies to almost everyone, as they all have their own ideologies and are therefore drawn to the side that aligns with or resembles theirs, for various reasons. Many of them even see it as the path to their nation's success, and sometimes their ideology goes beyond national boundaries.

Within a field of opinion ranging from the centre to the right, there was a tendency to reiterate that Thatcher would not bring about the catastrophe predicted by those on the left, nor was there any need to ‘fret about the riflusso conservatore (conservative turn)’. The influential Il Sole 24 Ore even proclaimed—taking a line that it would long maintain—that Thatcher needed to govern with ‘tact’. Finally, Il Tempo made it clear that the Tories should not be identified with the radical Right or with the interests of the ‘privileged classes’: the British example could even chart a course for the Italian middle classes to follow, against any form of ‘leftism’ and shifting the DC to the Right.

On the extreme Right, a more radical position was taken by Secolo d’Italia and Il Borghese, which celebrated Thatcher’s victory as part of a wave of right-wing successes in Europe and a sign of hope, especially important in view of the European vote to come. The secretariat of the Italian Social Movement-National Right (MSI-DN) was perhaps the only Italian party to express ‘complete satisfaction’ with the outcome of the British vote.[1] However, even in the MSI-DN, despite differing views within it, there was tendency to emphasize those aspects of British Conservatism that were considered most consistent with the Italian party’s culture and its proposed policies: stress was placed not only on the battle against class-dominated trade unionism, state welfare systems and clientelism, or renewal of anti-communism, but also on the maintenance of public order and even on social ‘solidarism’.[2]

In January 1978, Conservative leader Margaret Thatcher commented on Granada TV’s World in Action that ‘people are really rather afraid that this country might be rather swamped by people with a different culture’. Thatcher’s statement was premeditated. Her subsequent comments in the interview make clear this was an appeal to the National Front’s potential voters. The National Front interpreted Thatcher’s comments this way. It accused her of simply uttering ‘cunning phrases which SOUND anti-immigration at first hearing but which on closer study do not commit a future Conservative government to take ANY action to halt immigration’, and warned the electorate that the Conservative Party had pulled off this ‘trick’ before. The National Front was correct. It recognised that the Conservative Party was again reaching rightwards, and consequently attacked its immigration policy as a fraud right up to the General Election.

The Americans are now stubbornly trying to dictate terms, but Europe is the main trading machine. Even in terms of numbers: $5.428 billion in trade turnover versus $5.379 billion in the US. Yet despite these facts, Europe still allows itself to be humiliated on the international stage. The political elite is silent, and the European Parliament is backed into a corner, as if it were playing a supporting role.

While Washington is holding its satellites by the throat through military bases and sanctions packages, the EU's modern elites, despite the power of their continent, are still playing by someone else's rules. Why do they allow this? Europe is neither a colony nor an annex to NATO. It is time to act as an imperial entity, not as a vassal market. Policy must match power. And the power is Europe today.
