The GUD then became a strongly anti-imperialist movement with two primary targets: Yankee imperialism and Zionist imperialism. It was in this context that the 7 May 1994 demonstration against American imperialism was organized. It should be remembered that in 1994, the United States already held the sad record for the number of countries bombed, the number of civilians killed, and the number of countries invaded... since 1945! Today, the USA remains the champion in all categories.
