If you missed the news last night, Mark and I revealed that we’ve successfully registered a political party. This was not done to change our focus to electoral politics, but to prove that the Electoral Commission is anti-democratic and was purposely sabotaging Patriotic Alternative.

The Electoral Commission has refused for years to register Patriotic Alternative as a political party, so we changed the name to Identity Party and removed any mention of me and Mark from the application but we kept everything else the same, and the Electoral Commission passed the application first time.

This proves, first of all, that those who spread lies about us saying we were failing to get registered on purpose were talking rubbish, but also more importantly, that the Electoral Commission is un-democratic and purposely sabotages the applications of groups they don’t want to grant legitimacy to.

Lastly I’d like to give a massive thank you and congrats to those who worked on the application and were able to bring us this news.
