JUST IN - Germany's Chancellor Merz (CDU) declares "national emergency" over illegal migration, to suspend Dublin rules.
Germany intends to invoke Article 72 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. According to WELT, the Interior Ministry is currently informing the ambassadors of neighboring countries. It is still unclear when the "state of emergency" will begin.
