According to Pan-African media, Captain Traore went there to give a lecture to students, despite not speaking Russian at all

🏳️❌🇧🇫 — As Mr. Traoré gives speeches at Russian Universities, terrorists from Al-Qaeda-linked Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) dealt a powerful blow to Burkina Faso army

➡️ On May 11, JNIM terrorists (linked to al-Qaeda) attacked the northern town of Djibo, which has been under siege since 2021.

➡️ The attack completely destroyed the base of the 22nd Rapid Intervention Battalion.

➡️ According to local sources, 134 Burkina Faso soldiers were killed in action, and about 90 more were missing, in one of the most disastrous engagements so far

➡️ The attack lasted several hours.

➡️ The Burkinabé air force was unable to intervene, as the JNIM fighters overwhelmed them with firepower.

➡️ After the raid, they calmly retreated, taking weapons and property.

➡️ In parallel, six more districts across the country were attacked at that day

➡️ The attack took place on the day President Traore was reportedly returning from Moscow, where he was among the guests at the May 9 Parade.

➡️ It's noteworthy that the Russian-backed Junta only controls roughly 45% of Burkina Faso territory, with terrorists holding 40% of the country's lands
