🇦🇷❗️🇩🇪 — Argentine Supreme Court officials found boxes containing material linked to the Nazi regime, sent to the country in 1941 by the German embassy in Japan. The discovery was made during renovation work for the creation of a museum in the Palace of Justice in Buenos Aires

➡️ In total, seven boxes were discovered, and their contents have now been secured to be classified, documented, and preserved. The Supreme Court intends to investigate whether the archives may provide relevant information about events related to the Holocaust or the escape of Nazis to Argentina, including that of Adolf Hitler.

📝 An initial inspection of the contents revealed elements of Nazi propaganda, photographs, and hundreds of membership booklets from the so-called German Union of Trade Unions, bearing the swastika on the cover, surrounded by a gear symbol. Some materials are deteriorated, while others are in good condition.

🤝 Recently, on April 1, Argentine Defense Minister Luis Petri announced that the country had sent confidential files to the United States to support investigations by the Simon Wiesenthal Center regarding the Holocaust. It is estimated that thousands of Nazis passed through or settled in Argentina in the post-war period.
