"💬 During the second round of talks, Russia and Ukraine discussed a ceasefire, new exchanges, and a possible meeting of the presidents of the two countries. They only managed to agree on the exchanges. At the end of the meeting, the heads of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations made statements. What Vladimir Medinsky and Rustem Umerov said is in the Kommersant collection.
Head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky:
🔵 Russia and Ukraine have agreed on the largest prisoner exchange ever, with between 1,000 and 1,200 people expected to be involved.
🔵 Next Tuesday, Russia will unilaterally hand over 6,000 bodies of soldiers to Ukraine. If they have bodies of our officers, we will accept them.
🔵 All seriously wounded and seriously ill will be exchanged according to the formula "all for all". Young soldiers will also be exchanged according to this formula, the ceiling is no less than 1000.
🔵 Russia has proposed a 2-3 day ceasefire to Ukraine on certain sections of the front to collect the bodies of the dead. Ukraine has promised to work on the proposal in the near future.
🔵 The topic of returning children was central to the negotiations. Recently, it was said that 1.5 million children had been kidnapped, then 200,000, now 20,000. Today, Ukraine handed over a full list of 339 children's names.
Head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov:
🔵 Russia and Ukraine have agreed to exchange the bodies of military personnel according to the formula 6,000 for 6,000.
🔵 Russia and Ukraine have agreed to exchange all seriously ill and wounded prisoners, as well as prisoners aged 18 to 25.
🔵 Russia did not agree to a ceasefire and a meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.
🔵 Ukraine calls for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. US President Donald Trump may join.
🔵 If Russia does not agree to a ceasefire, humanitarian measures and preparations for a meeting of the presidents, international sanctions should follow."

"Key statements by the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, following the talks in Istanbul:
☑️ The Russian Federation has handed over to Ukraine a draft memorandum on the settlement, the head of the Russian delegation reported;
☑️ The Russian draft memorandum consists of two parts. The draft includes proposals for a full-fledged ceasefire with options
"The first: how to achieve a real long-term peace. And the second part: what steps to take to make a full ceasefire possible. Moreover, in the second part there is even a variability: to act along this path or to act along that path"
— Medinsky said.
☑️ According to the “all for all” formula, all soldiers under the age of 25 will be exchanged;
☑️ Russia and Ukraine will exchange seriously ill and wounded "all for all";
☑️ Russia and Ukraine will organize medical commissions to exchange seriously wounded soldiers; exchanges will be regular;
☑️ The exchange of prisoners between Kyiv and Moscow will take place according to the formula "1000 for 1000"
"The exchange of prisoners of war will be equal. In total, no less than 1,000 people. Possibly more. Up to 1,200. They are counting now. This will be the largest exchange since the beginning of the SVO. It will include, first of all, the seriously wounded, seriously ill, and young soldiers under 25 years old"— said the head of the Russian delegation.
☑️ The Russian Federation proposed to Ukraine a ceasefire for 2-3 days in certain sections of the front, "so that commanders could collect the bodies of their soldiers";
"The last proposal that was made by us — since the Ukrainian side often speaks about the need for a ceasefire, quite in general terms — we proposed a specific ceasefire: two or three days in certain sections of the front"— Medinsky told journalists.
☑️ Russia is advancing, so there are more casualties among Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield;
☑️ Ukraine will work on the Russian Federation's proposal for a ceasefire;
☑️ Kyiv has turned the topic of child abduction into a "show for compassionate Europeans";
☑️ Recently, the Russian side has returned 101 children, and the Ukrainian side about 20;
☑️ The head of the Russian delegation showed a list of 339 names of children, provided by Ukraine."

“I don’t mind being called a dictator by that sensationalist national and international media — they have the freedom to do so. (…) I’d rather be called a dictator if it means we can finally live in peace and stop seeing our people killed by violence every day in the streets. Let them worry about semantics while we focus on delivering results!"

According to SBU, the operation was planned for several months.
SBU agents mined the supports of what it calls as an illegal facility and today, without any civilian casualties, at 4:44 am the first explosive device was activated
The underwater supports of the piers were severely damaged at the bottom level - 1,100 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent contributed to this.
Now, the bridge is in a state of emergency.
The Head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk, personally supervised the operation and coordinated its planning.
In Statement, the Ukrainian SBU said:
"God loves the Trinity, and the SBU always brings what it has conceived to the end and never repeats itself. Previously, we hit the Crimean Bridge twice in 2022 and 2023.
So today we continued this tradition under water.
No illegal Russian facilities have a place on the territory of our state.
Therefore, the Crimean Bridge is an absolutely legitimate target, especially considering that the enemy used it as a logistical artery to supply its troops. Crimea is Ukraine, and any manifestations of Russian occupation will receive our tough response," Vasyl Malyuk noted.
