⚡️🇺🇸 US President Donald Trump announced that he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have brokered a peace treaty between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda, ending a decades-long war marked by widespread bloodshed.

Trump said representatives from both nations will travel to Washington on Monday to sign the agreement.

“This is a Great Day for Africa and, quite frankly, a Great Day for the World!”

He added that he does not expect a Nobel Peace Prize for this deal, nor for his previous efforts in mediating conflicts between India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, Egypt and Ethiopia, or through the Abraham Accords in the Middle East.
