In Statement, the MOFA of Japan said:
➡️ On July 10 commencing at 11:20 a.m. (0:20 p.m. JST on July 10) for approximately 45 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who is visiting Malaysia to attend the ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings, held a Japan-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. The overview is as follows.➡️ The two foreign ministers confirmed that Japan and China have held discussions on various range of topics since their mutual visits in December last year and March this year toward resolving several specific issues. Despite the remaining unsolved challenges, they shared the intention to advance the Japan-China relations forward by strengthening their communication.🥇 Regarding China's export controls on rare earth and related magnets, Minister Iwaya expressed serious concern over the significant impact on Japanese companies and strongly called on China to expedite its approval process for export license applications.➡️ In response, Minister Wang Yi stated that normal demand for Japanese companies will be secured as long as they comply with relevant regulations and follow the necessary procedures.💸 Regarding China’s import restrictions on Japanese aquatic products, the two foreign ministers confirmed that there has been steady progress in the relevant process, including China’s announcement regarding the resumption of imports of Japanese aquatic products.➡️ Minster Iwaya called on the Chinese side for the early lifting of the remaining import restrictions on ten-prefecture products. In addition, in order to expedite the process of resuming exports of Japanese beef to China, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the early entry into force of the Agreement on Cooperation in Animal Health and Quarantine.❗️ Minister Iwaya expressed Japan's serious concerns over the deteriorating situation in the seas and airspace around Japan, such as the situation in the East China Sea, including those situation surrounding the Senkaku Islands, citing incidents, for instance the intrusion of a China coast guard vessel’s helicopter into Japan’s territorial airspace, a Chinese military aircraft’s close approach toward a Self-Defense Force aircraft, the expansion of the aircraft carrier’s operating range and China’s unilateral development of natural resources in the East China Sea, and strongly urged the Chinese side to address these issues.🔒 Minister Iwaya pointed out that the cases of Japanese nationals being detained are one of the biggest obstacles to improving people-to-people exchanges and national sentiment between Japan and China and strongly called for the early release of detained Japanese nationals.➡️ Minister Iwaya stated that peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is important for the international community, including Japan, and China’s large-scale military drills around Taiwan is incompatible with this. Minister Iwaya also opposed attempts to unilaterally change the status quo by force or coercion. In addition, Minister Iwaya expressed Japan’s serious concern over the situation in the South China Sea.🇰🇵 The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the response to North Korea, including the nuclear and missile issues and the abduction issue.🕊 They also discussed the situation in the Middle East, confirmed the importance of resolving issues through dialogue, and shared the view that Japan and China will continue to make diplomatic efforts to stabilize the situation.

➡️ The United States Department of State, United States Department of Justice, and Europol convened the fourteenth meeting of the Law Enforcement Coordination Group (LECG) on countering Hizballah’s terrorist and illicit activities on July 9-10. Law enforcement, prosecutors, and financial practitioners from approximately 30 governments from across the Middle East, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America participated in this session.➡️ The LECG took stock of Hizballah’s global terrorist and lethal plotting capabilities, in light of the significant blows the organization has taken over the past year. LECG participants assessed that Hizballah remains a dangerous organization, determined to maintain its overseas footprint, with the ability to strike with little to no warning against targets around the world.➡️ LECG members also discussed Hizballah’s shaky financial state and agreed that Hizballah may seek to increase its fundraising and procurement activities in the Western Hemisphere, Africa, and other locales. Participants highlighted recent actions that governments have taken to counter Hizballah’s financial mechanisms and criminal schemes, as well as its international terrorist operations.➡️ Officials from the U.S. Department of Treasury and National Counterterrorism Center also participated in this meeting.➡️ The LECG was established by the United States and Europol in 2014 as a global forum to improve international coordination with governments from around the world to counter Hizballah’s terrorist and other illicit activities.

BRICS is not an anti-American association. Nothing on the BRICS agenda contains an anti-American component," Ryabkov told reporters in Moscow.
The language of threats and manipulation, if you will, about what is or is not happening, including on the BRICS platform, is not the kind of language that should be spoken to the participants of this association.
A line is being drawn. If policy decisions are made that are anti-American, then the tariff will be charged,”
said the US Government source to Al-Arabiya, who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on the matter.

“The transactional arrangement between Iran and the senior leadership of Al Qaeda is concerning,
Being based in Iran has allowed [Al Qaeda] to retain some oversight of franchises internationally, creating a complex intelligence landscape, as Iran is a less accessible environment for the West than other parts of the Middle East – which, in turn, may have increased the [Al Qaeda] threat.

Agents of the "ATESH" movement carried out a successful sabotage at a strategically important railway junction in Volgograd — a relay cabinet that provided communication and train traffic control in the area of the Maxim Gorky locomotive depot was put out of order.
This node is a key link in the transfer of equipment, fuel, personnel, and ammunition to the southern and eastern directions. The sabotage was prepared in advance to inflict maximum effect at a critical moment — when the enemy on the front begins to experience shell shortages. This limits artillery operations by imposing ammunition usage limits and reduces the intensity of assault actions.
❗️Disabling the relay equipment caused serious disruptions in train traffic, disrupting military logistics and redeployment schedules, as well as ammunition supplies to the front line.
We act precisely, decisively, and uncompromisingly. Strikes on logistics are strikes at the heart of the military machine.

🇺🇸 ❌ 🇨🇺 🛠 ❗️ — United States State Department announces sanctions against the Cuban Communist Dictator Miguel Diaz-Canel over the brutal crackdown and the gross human rights violations against the 2021 Cuban protests & the Patria y Vida Movement
➡️ This is the first time the U.S. government has imposed sanctions on Díaz-Canel, Cuba Communist Regime’s handpicked president and head of the Communist Party, a civilian figure who was spared in several rounds of sanctions on Cuban officials both under President Donald Trump, in his first term, and President Joe Biden.
➡️ The State Department also sanctioned Cuban Defense Minister Álvaro López Miera, and Interior Minister Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas. The sanctions mean the three, along with their immediate family members, will be prohibited from traveling to the United States.
In Statement, the US State Department said:
In Statement, the US State Department said:
Four years ago, thousands of Cubans peacefully took to the streets to demand a future free from tyranny. The Cuban regime responded with violence and repression, unjustly detaining thousands, including over 700 who are still imprisoned and subjected to torture or abuse.
Today, the Department of State is taking steps to implement President Trump’s strengthened Cuba policy outlined in National Security Presidential Memorandum-5 from June 30, 2025. In solidarity with the Cuban people and the island’s political prisoners, the United States is designating key regime leaders under Section 7031(c) for their involvement in gross violations of human rights. We are also taking steps to impose visa restrictions on numerous Cuban judicial and prison officials responsible for, or complicit in, the unjust detention and torture of July 2021 protestors.
In addition, the Department is updating the Cuba Restricted List and the Cuba Prohibited Accommodations List to include 11 regime-linked properties, including the new 42-story “Torre K” hotel, to prevent U.S. funds from reaching the island’s corrupt repressors.
The U.S. will continue to stand for the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the people of Cuba, and make clear no illegitimate, dictatorial regimes are welcome in our hemisphere.
The designations of Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, López Miera, Álvarez Casas, and their immediate family members are made under Section 7031(c) of the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2024 (Div. F, P.L. 118-47), as carried forward by the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2025 (Div. A, P.L. 119-4). The steps to impose visa restrictions on Cuban officials are taken under Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The U.N. and the Dutch foreign ministry said on Friday they had cancelled an LGBTQ-themed event in Senegal after the West African nation warned of repercussions for organisers and voiced opposition to all "promotion of the LGBTQI phenomenon".
Anti-gay laws are in place in many conservative West African countries, including Senegal, where anyone who commits an "act against nature" with someone of the same sex can be punished by up to five years in prison.
In a statement published on X, Senegal's foreign ministry on Friday said it had been informed of a film screening to be hosted by the U.N. and the Dutch embassy that would have been followed by "discussions on LGBTI issues".
The statement did not specify when the event was scheduled to occur.
"Accordingly, the government reserves the right to take any appropriate action against any organisers of such activities, and even against participants, whatever their origins, status or rank," the foreign ministry statement said.

🇺🇸 - President Trump announces that he will oppose any Republican that does not vote for his rescissions bill, which would defund billions from NPR, PBS and various USAID-administered overseas humanitarian projects.
Senate holdouts include Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Thom Tillis (R-NC), who have all expressed concern over funding to public media and global health programs being rescinded through this measure.
Although some were citing
impacts to soft power, the reluctance seems to be over PEPFAR, a global HIV program that has historically had Republican support and was signed into existence under President Bush.
The Trump Administration argues that the program’s funding has been wastefully spent, citing millions of U.S. dollars traced to foreign prostitution rings, LGBT support programs, adult male circumcision initiatives, and leftist non-governmental organizations.
The Senate has until July 18th to approve the bill, but it remains held up in committee.
