🇷🇺🇺🇦 FPV ambushes are becoming much more common for both sides in Ukraine. Often using fibre optic cables, FPVs are essentially turned into guided, loitering mines that can outrun anything in the field. Able to stage away from a road, it means that no road near the FLOT is truly safe.

The obvious future evolution of this system is to automate it with AI identification. This has extremely dangerous potential ramifications, especially in a post war scenario when it’s time to clean them up. Such devices would need to have a self-destruct timer.
