Ukraine has officially severed diplomatic relations with the Republic of Nicaragua.

This decision comes in response to Nicaragua’s recognition of Russia’s so-called “sovereignty” over temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, and Crimea.

We consider this decision as a deliberate attempt to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a gross violation of Ukraine’s Constitution, the UN Charter, and fundamental norms and principles of the international law.

By aligning itself politically with the aggressor state, seeking to legitimize the violent seizure of Ukrainian land, and opening the so-called “honorary consulate” in Russia-occupied Crimea, Nicaragua has become an accomplice to Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine.

Nicaragua’s “recognition” of Russian occupation is legally null and void. It does not and will never alter the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine.

Ukraine will continue to respond resolutely to any attempts to undermine its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Russia has in recent years consistently accused the West of turning Ukraine into an “anti-Russia” for containment purposes, in response to which Putin authorized the ongoing special operation. A year and a half before it began, Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine formed the “Lublin Triangle”, which involves military cooperation and continues to lurch along five years after its creation. Exactly one week before the special operation started, the UK, Poland, and Ukraine then formed a de facto alliance.

These two triangles facilitated the UK’s efforts to sabotage spring 2022’s peace talks, for which Poland deserves equal blame as explained here, thus perpetuating the conflict till now. These three interlocking triangles are expected to play significant roles in the post-conflict future.

The first one, the Lublin Triangle, includes Lithuania, which now hosts Germany’s first permanent base abroad.

As for the second, it importantly involves the UK, which has always worked to divide-and-rule Europe.

And lastly, France has a base in Romania and a security pact with Moldova, which could lead to Paris exploiting them as launchpads for strengthening its newly reported secret presence in Odessa."

"The German authorities have admitted that German military forces are currently unable to shoot down drones over the country's territory

In recent days, drone flights have been recorded all over Germany over strategic sites — from the shipyard in Kiel and the oil refinery in Heide to military facilities in Rostock and Airbus enterprises.

In some cases, entire groups of drones were involved. Traces of some devices lead to a vessel under a foreign flag in the Baltic Sea, moving towards Russia.

The military in Germany do not have the right to shoot down drones because the country lacks a full-fledged anti-drone defense system. Moreover, firing over populated areas is dangerous — debris could injure people. The defense system is only beginning to be built: the air defense, disbanded back in 2010, essentially needs to be created anew.

Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt called the situation a "worrying signal."

"Drone flights in various EU countries are primarily aimed at creating uncertainty and destabilization. Like online disinformation, espionage, and sabotage attempts, they are tools of hybrid warfare," noted Daniel Günther, Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein, in turn.


Allies are also responding to the threat. According to Newsweek magazine, the US is sending P-8 Poseidon patrol aircraft to Norway to strengthen NATO's control over Baltic airspace."

Arriving at the Copenhagen summit, the Hungarian prime minister, Viktor Orbán, said that Budapest remained opposed to the idea of accepting Ukraine as a member of the European Union.

“The Hungarians would not like to belong to the same integration format, even a military one like Nato, [or] a political economic one like European Union, with the Ukrainians. So my proposal, the Hungarian proposal is to have [a] strategic agreement [with Ukraine], not [a] membership,” he said.

“Ukraine is a heroic country. We have to support them. No question of that. The question is the form how we do that. Membership is too much,” he said.

Orbán stressed that it wasn’t his view, but “a decision of the Hungarian people.”

Repeatedly asked about his opposition, he insisted his view was there should be “no membership at all.”

“Nobody knows what will happen in 100 years … but today is obviously no, no membership, … [it] would mean, first, that war would come into the European Union; second, the money from European Union would go to Ukraine. Both [would be] bad,” he said.

He also dismissed suggestions that the bloc could change its rules on opening negotiations with new member states to circumvent the Hungarian veto.

“There is a legal, strictly settled procedure how to do it. We have to stick to that. It means unanimous decision,” he stressed.

Orbán also defended his earlier comments, in which he argued that Ukraine is no longer a sovereign country.

He said:

“They don’t have money to maintain themselves. We pay the army, we pay the public bureaucracy, we pay the pension, we pay everything. If you are paid [for] by somebody else, you’re not a sovereign country. It’s not a moral statement, it’s just a financial fact.”

The Hungarian PM also offered a bit of advice to Denmark over recent drone incursions, saying his advice would be to “shoot them down.”
