🇻🇦🕊🇮🇱🇵🇸 — Head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, calls on both parties to accept the Trump-proposed ceasefire and to the hostages kept by Hamas & Allied Factions to be released in order to end the suffering in Gaza:

I continue to be saddened by the immense suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza. In recent hours, in the dramatic situation in the Middle East, some significant steps forward have been taken in peace negotiations, which I hope will achieve the desired results as soon as possible.

I ask all those in positions of responsibility to commit themselves to this path, to bring about a ceasefire and to release the hostages. Let us #PrayTogether so that the ongoing efforts may put an end to the war and lead us towards a just and lasting peace.

➡️ In his proposed amendment to Article 211-bis 8, he specified that anyone who uses the image, voice, or identity of a natural person without consent could also be punished for memes whose purpose is to "ridicule, harass, impersonate, and damage their reputation or dignity" could face to up to Six years in jail or more, if the affected is a public servant or a politician.

🇫🇷 The political crisis in France worsens as Sébastien Lecornu becomes France’s prime-minister with the shortest mandate!

Sébastien Lecornu resigned after spending 27 days in office as prime-minister following the toppling of the Bayrou cabinet.

Lecornu decided to resign after he made public the makeup of the new government, government which maintained 13 of the 18 ministers of the Bayrou cabinet.

The French leftwing and rightwing opposition, upon seeing the composition, said they will file a motion of no-confidence and topple the new government. Rather than wait for that to happen, Lecornu left.

Jewish-Algerian politician, Eric Zemmour, said following Lecornu’s resignation that “France needs early presidential elections”.
