NOW - Germany's AfD chief Alice Weidel: "The planned EU-wide 'chat control' is an absolutely totalitarian project. It means the de facto abolition of digital privacy."
Weidel: The planned EU regulation "overrides the end-to-end encryption of digital messages and makes it possible to automatically search all private messages, images, and videos on users' end devices. In other words, every citizen is placed under general digital suspicion and declared a potential criminal. Data protection, freedom of speech and opinion, privacy would thus finally become historical relics."

The US president was disappointed by Maduro's unwillingness to resign and his denial of ties to drug cartels.
The White House has already developed several military escalation plans, including removing Maduro from power. An administration representative stated that Trump is ready to use "every element of American power" to stop drug trafficking into the US.
Secretary of State Rubio called Maduro "illegitimate" and "a fugitive from American justice," repeatedly referring to the US indictment against him on charges of illegal drug trafficking and announced an increase in the reward for Maduro to 50 million dollars.
Recall, this is not the first report in the Western press about a possible US invasion of Venezuela.

Forwarded from Rerum Novarum // Intel, Breaking News, and Alerts 🇺🇸
🇨🇳 - China - A growing maritime power: A map by Rerum Novarum showing all 119 Chinese overseas ports.
China has signed 71 bilateral shipping agreements with 66 different countries around the world.
- Yellow: Ports in which China does not have a majority stake (-50%).
- Red: Ports in which China does have a majority stake (+50%).
- Blue: Ports capable of stationing Chinese military vessels.
For a port to dock a Chinese military vessel without any prior agreement, Beijing requires a controlling stake. The typical standard for a port to anchor a military vessel is it must have a draft capable of accommodating an oil tanker (16 meters), as this exceeds the requirements of aircraft carriers (11 meters), frigates and destroyers (6-7 meters). As shown on the map, ports in red, in which China holds a controlling share, either do not have the required quay, draft or the port lies on NATO territory.
China currently has 18 ports (blue on map) capable of holding its military vessels. However, this number is will rise in the coming years, as China has made it clear it seeks to build military facilities at multiple ports currently shown as yellow - such as Gwadar (Pakistan), Chongjin (North Korea), and Posorja (Ecuador).
Notes:
- China, surprisingly, has invested in just a single port in Russia (Port of Zarubino).
- It is unlikely China will receive clearance to dock military vessels at Newcastle Port, Australia. It was shown as blue as the port is capable of holding such vessels and China does have a 51% stake.
- China has never parked a military vessel at Haifa, Israel, however it was also shown as blue as the port has been used by Russian military vessels in the past.
- China has 129 overseas ports in total, but 10 are inactive and are therefore not shown on the map.

And there are good reasons for this, the publication notes. France is the second largest economy in the European Union, a leading player in the "Group of Seven," the only nuclear power in the EU, and a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
After Lecornu's resignation, French stocks and government bonds fell, and the euro weakened against the dollar. The basic French CAC 40 index dropped by 1.4%.
"The Eurozone economy is already causing a lot of concern," said a government official from one of the Eurozone countries. "We really don't need this."
Some EU diplomats are already privately writing a political obituary for Macron. Having come to power in 2017 and breaking the molds of French politics, according to them, he now looks like a "lame duck" whose influence in Brussels is rapidly fading.

A month ago Oracle stock soared after forecasting extraordinary growth: "We signed four multi-billion-dollar contracts with three different customers in Q1," said Oracle CEO, Safra Catz.
$455B in contract backlog. Multi-billion-dollar deals.
But according to The Information, newly surfaced internal documents paint a very different picture.
Oracle’s AI cloud margins are razor-thin around 14 cents of profit for every $1 in Nvidia server rentals.
That’s less than most retail businesses, and in some cases, the company’s actually losing money. The data shows margins fluctuating between 10% and 20%, averaging just 16%.
And reportedly, Oracle lost nearly $100 million last quarter renting out Blackwell chips, the very product driving its “AI boom.”

Amazon’s near 50%. Microsoft ~30%. Google’s even lower.
At some point you have to wonder, how long can Oracle afford to keep this up?
You can’t finance the future forever on borrowed money.
