🇮🇹🕊🇮🇱🇵🇸 — Reuters reports that Italy is ready to send Peacekeepers under the International Stabilization Force to Gaza

➡️ Such a decision was announced by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani while welcoming the Ceasefire between Arabs and Jews over the 2 years-long War

"The peace is near", Antonio Tajani said on Friday on social media website X. "Italy, which has always supported the U.S. plan, is ready to do its part to consolidate the ceasefire, deliver new humanitarian aid, and participate in the reconstruction of Gaza. We are also ready to send troops if an international peacekeeping force is created to reunify Palestine."

What will happen to the militias that oppose Hamas and "collaborate with Israel"?

There is a lot of discussion in Gazan channels about the fate of the militias of Yasser Abu Shabab in Rafah and Ashraf Al-Mansi in the north of the Strip, about which I have written quite a bit on the channel in recent months.

Channels affiliated with Hamas hint that their fate will be death at the hands of operatives from Hamas's military wing – and this is due to the agreement signed today and the expected Israeli withdrawal.

First, let me remind you that both Yasser Abu Shabab and Ashraf Al-Mansi published videos expressing support for the Trump plan – even after Trump published the withdrawal maps.
When you look at the maps, you can understand why they have no concerns, and most of the media noise generated around them by Hamas channels is simply cheap propaganda.

I marked on the map 👆with yellow circles the estimated locations (according to Palestinian sources) where the members of these militias are staying – al-Mansi in the north of the Strip (Beit Hanoun) and Abu Shabab in the south of the Strip (east Rafah).

If you look at the map, you can see that even after the second stage of the Trump plan – which still seems very far off – the militias are staying in areas from which the IDF will not withdraw at all.
So there is no apparent chance that the militias will be at special risk as a result of the IDF withdrawal according to the Trump plan.
Hamas is supposed to be disarmed and removed from power before the IDF evacuates the area between the red and yellow lines (which is supposed to be handed over to foreign forces anyway).

Attached is a good map clarifying the situation in the Gaza Strip after the IDF withdrawal is completed within the next 24 hours to the yellow line.

The yellow part on the map here constitutes 58% of the strip. There were map corrections of about 5% during the negotiations, which leads us to about 53% under IDF control currently.

Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip - under Israeli control.

The Sheja'iyya neighborhoods and parts of Tuffah and Zeitoun in Gaza City - under Israeli control.

More than half of Khan Yunis - under Israeli control.

Almost all of Rafah - under Israeli control.

All crossings to the Gaza Strip - under Israeli control.

"We cannot accept Hamas ruling the Gaza Strip.

If our goals are achieved through negotiation, that will suffice. If not, we will return to fighting".

🇻🇪🏆📝 — Polymarket projects that Venezuelan Opposition Leader Maria Corina Machado is set to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
🇻🇪🏆🕊 Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has been awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.

🎖 The Venezuelan opposition leader was praised for being “a key and unifying figure in a political opposition that was once deeply divided – an opposition that has found common ground in the demand for free elections and representative government.”

💬 – Over the past year, Ms. Machado has been forced to live in hiding. Despite serious threats to her life, she has remained in the country — a choice that has inspired millions. When authoritarians seize power, it is crucial to recognize the brave defenders of freedom who rise and resist,” said Jørgen Watne Frydnes, chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

🇻🇪 The government of dictator Nicolás Maduro persecuted several opponents before last year’s presidential elections. Machado was supposed to run against Maduro, but the government disqualified her. The opposition leader supported diplomat Edmundo González Urrutia in her place. The period leading up to the election was marked by widespread repression, including disqualifications, arrests, and human rights violations.

➡️ Repression of dissent only increased after the country’s National Electoral Council, which includes Maduro’s supporters, declared him the winner despite credible evidence to the contrary. The election results announced by the Electoral Council sparked protests across the country, to which the government responded with force, resulting in more than 20 deaths.

❗️ Frydnes was asked whether the Venezuelan leader would be able to attend the Nobel ceremony, which will be held in December in Oslo. He stated that the committee does not yet know whether security conditions will allow her to participate in person.
